MIDI Feedback for Elektron Analog Rytm
Automatic feedback for seven parameters per drum track, for controller pickup.
Module version 0.1.0-experimental. Base firmware: 1.74.
About this module
Sends settled parameter values and refreshes them about every two seconds over DIN MIDI OUT. Enable once per project. While a value is moving, feedback waits for a short pause so it does not interrupt pickup.
- Automatic background refresh; no performance-time menu diving.
- Seven assignments per track; choose your own PC12 pot layout.
- Latest-value feedback with bounded, fair output.
How to use it
- In MIDI CONFIG, set distinct track channels, PARAM OUTPUT to CC, ENCODER DEST to INT+EXT, and OUTPUT TO to MIDI or MIDI+USB.
- Map PC12 pots to the listed CCs and track channels, enable snap mode, and route feedback into the PC12 without MIDI THRU back to Rytm.
- Press GLOBAL, select MIDI FEEDBACK, and press YES for ON. Feedback then refreshes automatically; SEND FEEDBACK is optional.
Controls
- MIDI FEEDBACK
- Toggle feedback, off by default; stored per project.
- SEND FEEDBACK
- Optional refresh of settled values. Background refresh already runs about every two seconds while ON.
Compatibility notes
- Requires Analog Rytm MKII OS 1.74.
- Feedback uses DIN MIDI OUT.
- Disable both data and clock forwarding on the PC12 for the tested two-way DIN setup.
- An earlier MF06 pattern transition freeze remains unexplained. See the hardware report.
Test evidence
MF06 passed the exact-image emulator checks. The author reports PC12 pickup, pattern transitions, kit reload and restart passing on hardware after disabling PC12 forwarding. Emulator load is recorded. The earlier freeze remains unexplained.
