Apply Scene for Elektron Octatrack

Hold SCENE A or SCENE B and press YES: that scene's locked values become the active Part's own. Hold both and press YES to keep the crossfader's current blend.

Module version 0.1.0-experimental. Base firmware: 1.40C.

About this module

Keep a scene, or keep a blend. SCENE A + YES writes every value scene A locks into the active Part, as if you had turned each knob there yourself; SCENE B + YES does the same for scene B. Hold both scene keys and press YES to write the sound the crossfader plays right now instead. The scenes, the crossfader and the saved Part stay as they were, so the scenes keep morphing from the new base and RELOAD PART takes you back to the last saved Part.

How to use it

  1. Lock some parameters in SCENE A and SCENE B. Hold SCENE A (or SCENE B) and press YES to make that scene's values the Part's own: SCENE A APPLIED (or SCENE B APPLIED).
  2. To keep an in-between sound, move the crossfader, hold SCENE A and SCENE B, and press YES: SCENE BLEND APPLIED.
  3. Save the Part to keep it, or press FUNC + CUE (RELOAD PART) to go back to the last saved Part.

Compatibility notes

Test evidence

On one MKII over USB on the beta base: SCENE A, SCENE B and the blend apply, NOTHING TO APPLY, Keep, Undo, removal and a power cycle with the module kept (user-reported, values watched, no audio check). Under ot_emu (verify.py, 179 checks): one-scene applies equal that scene's locks and the blend equals stock's morph model at five fader positions, with scene mutes, both key orders and every scene byte locked; the saved Part, scenes and fader stay untouched; RELOAD PART, Part and project save and reload and an emulated power cycle keep it.
